Maybe it won't be an option lol. I just wanna play with one on my new build. Hey I got a camera that can take slow motion video. We should review a few comps and put this all to an end

That would be a lot of fun. We need a way to measure sound volume as well. I think that is why most people buy the battle comp. It gives decent recoil elimination but doesn't blow your ears off like the big comps we use in competition.

We could just have you shoot both comps with no ear protection, then take your word for it.

32 bucks - I say we do a review w/ sound readings, slow motion video, and all - so we can put the debate to rest once and for all

Looks good You get to hold it when we do the out past the muzzle readings. I am going to move this comp testing talk to a new thread so as not to busy up this great group buy idea.

I think as long as we put it at the same place on the rifle it doesnt matter. Like lets mount it to the handguard - and that way its constant through testing with the same rifle

Send me an email with all the comps you would like to try - I'll see if I can contact vendors for a test sample for this purpose.

Didnt "Front Sight" do this exact review a few months back? They used a laser mounted just off the barrel and tracked how much it moved in recoil.

You gotta get a reading out in front of the gun, to the side, and behind to do a good review. We may even need to shoot them in you apartment.

Patrick Kelley did that review but it was pretty complex and I couldn't tell what was really better. I want some hard numbers that says if you buy this you waste money if you buy this you don't, period. No politically correct don't want to hurt anybodys feelings reporting. I want winners and losers.

I just want video to show which has the least muzzle flip - and sound readings to see which is truly louder.

Honestly jesse - I don't give a damn if its louder in front - what I care about is whats the decible reading at the shooter. Shouldnt that be what we all care about - how it affects the shooter?

What if the shooter is called up to join the local SWAT team during the Zombie Apocalypse? If he is working in a 6 man team clearing houses of zombies he is going to want to know how the comp affects his team mates!

Seriously though you are correct. There is concern for the side volume since we shoot around spectators at matches. The relation ship should be close enough at the shooter though. How do you plan to measure muzzle flip and perceived recoil?

Heck - no point in wasting our time - guess I gotta learn how to read now - I just like looking at the pictures in magazines LOL

You joke, but this does factor for me.

I do have a Surefire comp that I'll offer up for testing.
