I want a full report...

I WAS going to put a Rolling Thunder comp on my 18", but I like how short that one is. Would be ideal on my shorty.

That's why I got excited when I saw them first come out. Its exactly the same length as an A2 and it (supposedly) works as good as most other brakes but without the concussion. I figured I would try it, if I'm not satisfied I can get rid of it pretty easy I'm sure.

Aesthetically, I am pleased.

You know; theres going to be an Accurate Iron comp coming out early next year. I hopefully will have the prototype on my AR at the Arkansas 3 gun championship.

Its titanium.

Yeah put me on the list too

Have you guys done a comparison of noise level and effectiveness versus some of the popular and highly effective competition compa like rolling thunder or SJC? I'm not willing to give up any felt recoil or muzzle flip in trade for reduced noise. Since all I do us competitive shooting noise level is not important.

Squad with me at the Jan 3 gun Jesse.

I've seen your in action and it looks like its doing a good job. I want a head to head comparison where we screw a Battle comp on right before or after a rolling thunder. I have attached a great compensator article by my good friend Patrick Kelley from the USPSA Front Sight Magazine last year. It is the most comprehensive comparison I have seen. Although, Mr. Kelley gave the recoil reduction % the article or data wasn't bold enough to pick a winner. I would like some hard numbers that measured rearward force or used strain gages to measure upward movement. A decibel reading in front, side and behind each comp would be good to know too.

I'm trying to post my 3 gun vid from December but the Internet here in the boonies sucks. I'll try toget it uploaded again tonight.

If you want to buy a BattleComp to try it out Jesse, I'll buy it from you after youre done playing with it. I want another one for my future AR

You just love posting that rifle!
I don't blame you, I would too!

I did hear that BattleComp was working on a suppressor adaptable version.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea Jeremy. I may do that this spring.

Jerry that Surefire setup is pretty cool. I'd love to support those guys with a comp and suppressor package. Surefire sponsors the heck out of 3 gun and the other shooting sports. I think I have personally won at least $300 and maybe even $400 worth of their awesome flashlights.

The guy that sold me my battle comps said if I buy 5 or more he will give me a great price. The first 2 he sold me were only 135 each shipped so I imagine that they will be under 130 shipped each. If 5 or more people are interested let me know and I will call him and get an exact price. I will count myself as one because I love these things.

I'm interested. Just tell him we have 5 and see the price. Just cuz he gives us a price doesn't mean we have to buy.

These guys have been on my radar for a while. It seems like they've spent a lot of time and $$$ to engineer a superior product. I can see how it would have its benefits over traditional comps.

We're planning on talking at the SHOT with them about details. What we generally like to do when we pickup new product lines such as this, is get the highest tier price level we can by buying bulk and then passing those savings onto our forum members. We generally do this by offering ~15-20% off initially for a pre-buy option. There is no leg-work needed to be done by forum people. People just simply order online through our website, utilize a coupon code, and get their discount individually. It simplifies things quite a bit, and takes the middle man out of it.

If you guys would want to do something similar, we could certainly do that. We'll hopefully be able to work out some details this next week with them in Vegas at SHOT.

I also am curious about the OAL and the way they are manufactured. If the specs are real close, I should be able to use my new suppressor, a Griffan Armament M4-SD, on the BattleComp, which is a really slick QD can for an A2 flash hider. The suppressor is currently in the "hurry up and wait" stage <_<

JoeBob,

Let us konw what kind of deal you can pass along when you find out next week. So far below is the current rate (MSPR is around 150 i believe)

(5+) $119.00/Each Shipped (Black Oxide / Matte Stainless or combination of both) [$35 off Retail]
(10+) $115.00/Each Shipped (Black Oxide / Matte Stainless or combination of both) [$40 off Retail]

If you happen to gather (20+) we'll knock another $10 off:

I actually just came across the other "group buy" post before I came back and saw this post. Didn't mean to step on any toes.

My guess, based on what I know now, is the price would be in the $100ish range shipped, as the 20+ price break is. What we generally do on these things is we do all the marketing and assemble the "group buy", and then continue to carry the product after. We market it on all the forums we have, and to our current customers. We did a Rock River Arms group buy for instance, on 2-stage Match triggers. Our goal was 10. We sold like 50 in a matter of 2 weeks . We did KNS pins as well, at 20% off our super low price already at $26.95 and ended up selling ~60 sets in 2 weeks. With the buying power, we pass the savings on to everyone, on all the forums, generally with a ~2 week timeline. We get hooked up with distributor pricing upfront and from then on, and customers benefit too. A smaller forum like Boomer Shooter then gets the same savings as much larger ones.

I'll get more info next week at SHOT for sure. I like the fact this product isn't incredibly proprietary in terms of the OAL and form, for intended uses like mine, with a QD suppressor.
