Guys & Gals,

I have been in contact with http://www.sportoptics.com/ and they have agreed to give us special "group buy" pricing if we all want/need the same thing. So here it is - go check their website - think of what you could use and post it here. If we can get enough we can get a group buy and save some money.

OK Everyone I spoke with Jay back and forth today at Sport Optics and this is what is going on. To find out special BoomerShooter.com pricing email Jay at - [email protected] - Mention the item that you are looking at and that you saw this post on BoomerShooter.com and he will get back to you with the price of the item. He will ship the item DIRECTLY to you with NO SALES TAX and NO SHIPPING on top of the savings he can offer you.

Great to have Jay and SportOptics.com give us this special deal - be sure to tell Jay thanks so we can keep having deals like this going on.

Damn, if I hadn't bought a Nightforce NXS last month, I would definitely take part in this. :(

I've done business with Sportoptics. Jay and the others are great people. When I got my Nightforce from them I decided that would be my "go to" place for all my glass. If I wasnt broke I be gettin in. Oh and it took 3 days from ordering to my house on shipping. Very quick and free to boot!

I'm thinking of getting that nikon also. PM me what kind ofndeal you get.

Will do. Shotgun News reviewed it with a BCM carbine but his demo model wasn't in the best of shape. The reviewer reported week clicks in the turrets which could have been due to it being so well 'loved' by other folks. He also reported the BDC circles and stadia hatches being a little on the small side. I will probably try to get my hands on one locally to see/feel for myself before laying the money down.

Which one are you looking at? Maybe I can try to get us one to review on BoomerShooter.com

This is the one:

Nikon M223 2-8x32 BDC 600
BDC 600 Reticle - 1" Scope Tube - Matte Finish
Model 8487

See it here

I would like to be the first to volunteer to put her through her paces :D

I'll run it through the Training Group classes at USSA and then hand it off to someone else. Just let me know what kind of format you'd like for the review (written/video) and I will be happy to lend a hand.

Why 2-8x?

Wall's got a M-223 in 1-4x20mm. Jesse and I played with it today out at OKCGC. I was impressed with the clarity, field of view and reticle. It's only drawback is that it's not illuminated.

Between the Burris TAC30, the Nikon M-223 and the Leupold Mark AR, there's some very nice affordable 3-gun scopes out there!

I was thinking about that Nikon real hard, but I shagged one of these from SWFA for $379. Then I got the email showing me the price in this link, so I'm now waiting on my 110% price match from SWFA. That will put me real close to the Nikon and TAC30 pricewise which I couldn't find anywhere in stock, but now I see Midway does have stock. Oh well, this one is awfully sweet!

Primarily for the BDC reticle. I think that 1-4 is sufficient for what I'd encounter in 3-gun (right? I'm a 3-gun newb so I'm not certain) but they only offer it in 2-8. Like I said the BDC is a pretty big draw for me. The Shotgun News article confrimed that the BDC was really helpful you just have to pay attention and dope it past about 450 for wind. I won't be shooting it past 300 very often but having stadia marks for drop and calc'ing dope for windage when I do is better than nothing. I dunno....

Mine has the BDC reticle.

Mine has the BDC reticle.

All I'm finding on their site is the 1-4 with the point blank reticle...sorry...I just realized that we've gotten way off-topic here. If you have details on one with the BDC please PM me.

The scope is great, I mounted it with the Nikon M223 mount. Chambers pretty much summed it up. It's just under 14oz. & just over 10". It was cold this morning when we started & no fog problems. It's easy to aquire the target, but I'd like it better if it was illuminated. For the money, I don't think you can go wrong.
