Welcome aboard man! I don't think this forum has ever been offline. Of course we don't allow the "say the first thing that comes to mind". Thread that goes on for one or two servers worth of storage space either.

I hope you find something good here. Let us know if you see anything that needs changed.

What kind of shooting do you do?

I wish that was true but we have occasional downtime - but usually online a minute or two - not a half day....

Thanks everyone. Aside from the inflated egos on that other forum, it's frustrating not being able to read the inflated opinions when it goes offline for a large chunk of 24.

As for my shooting style, mostly just casual shooting at paper badguys these days. The price of ammo pretty much has curtailed shooting my .45ACP and .357 & .44mag wheelies. My leverguns don't see much action these days either. I'm more inclined to just take my Ruger 22/45 since it's an affordable shooter and actually a lot of fun. I have reloading equipment that I bought after a certain jackwad moved into the White House... just haven't had any time to get after it. Too much life happening these past couple of years.

I'm in the process of getting my CCW again. My last one expired in 2005 and I simply never got around to renewing it. Dumbass move but I'm remedying it. Dropped off the application at the sheriff yesterday afternoon and now begin the wait. I mentioned to the gal taking all my paperwork that I had once had a CCW so she marked "renewal" instead of the "new" that I had checked off, even after I explained that it didn't fall within the 3 year grace period. Hopefully that doesn't fubar the process.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D

The price if ammo is a SOB isnt it? I am in the same boat as you with the reloading press. $2000 worth of stuff rusting away in the garage just waiting to save me tins of money:)

Bring that 22/45 and out for some steel challenge matches. Those 22's are a blast for speed shooting. We also run sine action rifle matches at okcgc that allow you to run rimfire guns like AR15's with conversions or 10/22's. Both competitions are a blast!

Thanks for the offer Jesse. Admittedly I'm not a competitive person so getting involved in shooting competitions isn't something I'd likely do. I know that sounds odd since it seems most of this forum's members are into it. I'm just a casual shooter who plinks a bit as time and funds allow which honestly isn't often. Getting to the range to practice just to stay somewhat proficient is a challenge in and of itself. Other non-shooting hobbies also tend to burn up what little free time I have. Having said that, maybe someday I'll give it a try. Stranger things have been known to happen. :)
