Ran across this poor Remington Rand The Mosin Crate took in from Puerto Rico. The PO PO welded the snot out of her. I'm half tempted to buy it to give it a proper disposal / burial.

I was thinking the same thing. You and I have similar backgrounds and we're the same age. I would like to have it for the challenge. It would be sweet to fire that first round after fixing her and making her beautiful again.I'm a toolmaker by trade! Nothing is impossible

I know I could rebuild it, I've fixed much much worse!
If that ugly-ass weld is all that's holding her back, it would be very easy. I know what you're saying. A Toolmaker can often do what others think is impossible. My team and I do it all the time....all in a day's work.

I hope so. What happened to that fine 1911 is a travesty. Whoever did it needs his ass kicked and then some welding lessons.
