.." When I think back of what I did for adrenaline rushes with bikes on & off the track I'm lucky to be alive." I can relate...& not just on bikes.. I truly believe God has a purpose for my life, and that it's yet unfulfilled. Otherwise. I 'd have not made it this far in life. I believe in Guardian Angles, that they have protected me many times in my life, or I wouldn't still be here. Too many "close calls" and avoidance of injury in the past , it's impossible for me to believe I'm still here for any other reason, or because of "luck".

Never got to ride a TZ, but I've have liked to :) ..I had a ( then new) '72 Kawasaki H2 ( 750 triple) ,
I bought just after finishing USN boot camp. Quickest / fastest bike made up to that time.. & worst bike I've owned. From what I've read about the TZ, pretty sure it was a bit faster than that H2.. but curious, where were you living that you could ride a TZ 750on the street ?

Ohio 70s. Who said anything about being able to ride Racing machines on the Hwy.
Race forward to NC I was working for an international Porsche shop.

We had finished Race prepping a 930 Turbo with a high $ special race engine, & had very little time to test it.
It was about 11pm when we/I decided to test her out. I set out to run it hard & get back before anyone knew what was going on.
Well I just got back when the entire police Dept was on the hunt. We worked out of an old USPS sorting facility with many ramps for entering the complex.

I had a ramp leading to my work area & could drive the car right in & look innocent. In they came, sure to find the driver.
They saw lots of Porsche cars but that RED one right next to my bench had to be it. The Lt. walked right up to the car saying
now we got you. Put's his hand on the hood of the car & said Ship it's cold. The front hood on the rear engine Porsche was cold LMAO.

They left with lots of dirty looks ;)

Just maybe when we think were lucky to be alive, it could be we were just that dam good. I got busted up in Motocross but I won a lot of stuff.

..when I read what you posted, " This guy with a Ford Mach 1 wanted us to follow him home & I got picked to ride the TZ 750 C home for him."

I took this to mean that you rode a TZ 750 to some guy's home..that's why I asked the ? I asked.

It's nice that your 2 wheeler has front forks, for some suspension..does the rear have a rear shock ?
I used to watch a lot of those ATC's in the desert..guys riding them seemed to be having fun..but compared to my RM..they were slow.
I also remember that the early model atc's had no suspension..only the "give" in those balloon tires.

I did look at a Yamaha Banshee , when they 1st came out They used a RD 350 (?) cc twin cyl. motor, & had serious looking suspension, fr & rr.
I think that started the big interest in "quads" but there was no way a 4 wheeler was going to be as fast as a 2 wheeler...
I believed if you want to go faster, get a bigger motor! Got to ride a Husqvarna 500 4 storke, right after they came out.
Made my XT500 seem slow. Gave the guy my phone # & told me to give me a call if he ever wanted to sell it..
Some time later, saw the bike in the used bike section of a local dealer..guess he lost my #..
Yes, it has an adjustable monoshock in the rear. I had one of the RD-250's back in the day. It was a rocket ship, then they came out with the 350. The weight to HP ratio was really good. For a time it was the fastest production motorcycle on the road.
