if you're going to ship it somewhere, might as well send it to one of the best.. : Doug Jones, of Acc-U-Rail fame.
Doug builds custom race 1911's for many of the country's top shooters.
As well as performing his Acc-U-Rail modification, he does all kinds of general gunsmithing jobs.. on rifles, pistols, shotguns.
He does everything you could imagine, but refinishing guns...& his prices are a bargain, for the quality of work he does.

I'm fortunate to be his "neighbor", living only a couple of miles from his shop. Been a steady customer, for work, & advice ,
since I "discovered" him about 12 yrs. ago.

His website is weak.. he spends his time working on guns, not upgrading his website... but his address & phone # is on the site
If you ( or anyone ) needs / wants something done, give him a call... open Mon, Tues., Thur.., Fri. only.
(Does his machining @ his home on Wed)

Doug once told me he gets most his work from out of state / shipped to him.
