Hello fellow fanatics,
Big shout out to @Tyler Davis because without him I couldn't post this thread.
I just purchased my first NHC after reading @Bender 's review and talking to a few folks about not only NHC but the 9mm 1911.
I pulled the trigger on two firsts for me.
A NHC and a 9mm 1911.
I haven't received it yet as it will be shipping sometime Monday.
So these pictures are courtesy of Cajun concealed.
I present to you the almighty
T-4
upgrades include the magwell and the light weight frame.

Great looking piece, looking forward to your hands on report. I never had a NH so I can speak for their guns beyond their well known rep, but I have dealt with Tyler and I agree, as well, he is a good guy to deal with.

Thanks guys I'm not sure I'm sold on the magwell just yet.
Will have to try it and see.
I've talked to the NIGHTHAWK Rep on here already about getting it changed to a 38 super just in case I don't like the 9mm in a 1911. :)

Meh.........
The magwell kinda bothered me with the T3
My last GI is a 9mm/38 Super.......I've shot it mostly with the 38Super.
But 9mm is a darn nice range plinker

I also wouldn't be able to keep these grips if I keep the magwell anyone have a good source for grips for this gun?
Something that fits them properly.
Actual magwell grips.

What style grips are you looking for, wood or g10?
Honestly I don't care which, I could live with either as long as they are magwell type grips. By this I mean something that will cover the pin.
Do you have a good source for either one?

I really like VZ grips, they have many styles & all can be magwell cut
For wood grips there is Esmeralda, WoodCaliber, Raasco, Challis..... there are many grip makers. Most all offer magwell cut options

just a cautionary note. when you take down the gun, use a thick piece of metal(like an allen wrench) NOT a paperclip--ask me how I know

my memories of this gun are those of great shooting BUT if the wire snaps off , it can ruin your day( and a few tools) getting the left over piece out of the guide rod

as far as grips go--their gaboon ebony grips are real nice. If you want color tocontrast this beauty, then a french walnut or desert ironwood grip might do the trick

again CONGRATS

I know right? I was like, what the what?!

Groot......forgot to mention, if you don't have experience with a nitride finish, do your diligent research on cleaners and lubes. The use of gun scrubber or other aerosol cleaners can make the finish appear blotchy. My opinion, if it's in an aresol can, throw it out. The standard popular oils are fine. I use Slip 2000 EWL, works well for me

A bit of discussion on Addicts.....

Thank you Mr. Bender I have a guardian so I'm familiar with the damage that can be done to cloud a finish.
Appreciate you looking out for myself and others with your knowledge.
It would be a shame to ruin the finish by using the wrong cleaner on it.
I use FP10 on the Wesson I'm assuming it will be okay on the hawk as well?
