Example of Supply & Demand

I just went and looked at the "great deals" thread. $10 pmags . $0.30/round new 223. Sad .

Went by a LGS today and picked up two pmags for $19.95 each. They had a two per person limit on them.

Stopped by another LGS on the way home that I've previously got really good deals on items. Service sucks there but the prices are cheap. He's a volume dealer that goes to a lot of gun shows. Asked them if they had any pmags. I was told yes and they're $75. Asked if they had Glock mags. Said yes, $22-$25 each. I had bought some previously there for $20 and then $22 a month or two ago. Ones I wanted were $25 today. Still not bad so I bought a couple. They had a few ARs but they were $2200 and up.

Tony pulled a 170mm 9mm mag out of his inventory for me a few days ago and held it until I could meet with him to get it. He could have sold it in a few minutes for double what he paid for it. From now on I buy as much of my shooting stuff from him as he is willing to sell. Screw CTD.

That about sums it up for me too .

i always check with tony first, but i think it is because he sent me a free calendar titled "12 sexy USPSA men"

Today's gun show:
From Kings:
Stripped Spikes Lower $1000
PMC 223 $20/box of 20
PMags $35 limit 2

Other vendors:
SCAR 16 $4800
DPMS Oracle 556 $1600
Polymer Lower with collapsible stock $600

Needless to say, I will not purchase from Kings in the future.

Kings is the place where I went in and asked about pmags and they said they were $75. Their service is really shitty but they usually have the lowest prices around including online prices often.

They had boxes of them with plexiglass over them at the show. At least they weren't $75, but 35 is still over double what they were two weeks ago.

They were also selling glock mags for $50 before the pulled them off the table.

They had Glock mags for $22-$25 two days ago depending on the specific mag. I bought two 15 rd .40 cal mags for $25 each.

I wonder why they pulled them off the table. Did they continue to sell them but just keep them behind the table?

Well at least some places are starting to get some ammo in. I just ran out to Wally world to get some milk and checked not expecting anything as they were out on Thursday night. I was plesently supprised. They didn't have a lot but they did have some stuff. I picked up 600 rounds of Federal 100 round bulk pack (witch they never seem to have in stock) and 250 rounds of TulAmmo all in 115 gr 9mm. I would have picked up an even 1000 rounds but I got all they had in stock. Plus they hadn't raised thier prices on them at all. Still 19.97 per box for the federals and 9.97 for the TulAmmo.

I feel much better now that I have some stock in the gun closet and don't have to worry about not having ammo if I want to go shoot a match.
