I think their site is just experiencing extreme traffic and having problems keeping up. I found a DD AR in stock and it let me add it to the cart and start going through the checkout process.

As to CTD, I'm not sure what to make of all of this. They've certainly created a stir, though.

You might not get if for a while. A guy I work with has a rifle on order from them and he got an email from them this moring stating that right now they aren't taking any new orders and just shipping the orders they currently have until they get caught up.

I sent the following to CTD -

Since Cheaper than Dirt has decided not to sell online firearms â€"

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories. Michael Tenny, CEO

I no longer wish to have an account with CTD and will no longer do business with CTD. Furthermore, I will suggest to my friends, associates and acquaintances that they do the same.

Lines were out the door at gun stores in dallas today. I saw Stag even has no more individual sales on their website. I did email them about a $300 gift certificate that I have and they said they would still honor it so good for them.

Stag took more orders this weekend than most do all year. They stopped all order to try and meet demand which we all know is not a possibility.

I wonder what those 10-15 prize table rifles I won would bring right now? Probably would need to go looking for any more sponsors for next year.

I had messages today from several buddy's that shoot and hunt recreationally all asking where to buy 1-10k of ammo and AR15's.

I just went to cheaper than dirts website and pmags were 29.90, I also couldn't find any bulk ammo for 5.56 that was more than 399? Am I looking in the wrong place? I am a bit confused?

I think they are responding to all of the outcry and lowering their prices back down. I can attest to seeing the PMAG's for $59.97, and the ammo in the link in the 2nd post was $899.97 when i checked this afternoon.

And day before yesterday they were like $13 or something.

I saw both of them before the price changed / went out of stock.

If it's the same one I got then here is what it says...

Cheaper Than Dirt! will Resume Online Firearm Sales Pending Policy Changes

Cheaper Than Dirt! recently announced that it was temporarily suspending online sales of firearms pending a review of its order processing and procedures. Well-known for its ability to process and ship orders within 24 hours, online sales have skyrocketed to a point where it may take up to 72 hours for firearms and other items to ship.

"In light of recent events, we believe it is prudent to review our policies and procedures to ensure we can continue to provide the products and firearms our customers demand," said Chief Operations Officer Roberta Wilson. "We will resume online sales once we update our process and continue as we have always done by shipping firearms only to FFL dealers."

Ms. Wilson closed with, "As a long-time supporter of the Second Amendment, we will continue to serve the needs of the firearms community while ensuring our unsurpassed level of quality and customer service."

Just got an e-mail from CTD saying that they were going to resume online sales. I took the opportunity to click the unsubscribe button on the page. Not another penny of my money will go to them.

This is getting ridiculous. I spent about 4 hours yesterday calling every gunshop I know of. Most of them won't even look for price quotes on components due to the fear induced buying across the country over whelming suppliers. I am normally an opptimistic gun owner but this one has me worried guys.
