I'm not going to get too into it, because on this forum I try to just joke around and not rustle people's jimmies too much, but I will say this: I was a registered Republican before the party became so concerned with ideological purity that people who say stuff like "hey maybe treating crazy people before they shoot up a school is a good use of public money" get branded as Marxists Who Hate American Freedom.

Easy now all yall! Many different opinions can exist concurrently. Do all of you really think most "liberals" don't love the good old U.S.A. less than you? They are trying to do the "right" thing just like you are. Here are a few talking points in general for use when and where you see fit, but lets not attack each other.
1. The Lamb will never understand the Sheep Dog. When the Sheep Dog barks, all the Lamb see,s is TEETH! Just like the Wolf that is coming to eat it. Don't try to reason with the Sheep as all it knows is that TEETH mean Death. It matters not who's mouth they are in. (although it may have been said else where...I don't know, But I have been saying this for years)
2. In response to "why anyone would need a 30 round high capacity magazine". There have been 3 MAJOR school shootings since 1992 which effect a VERY small portion of the population in those given areas. In that same time frame ther have been 2 MAJOR "natural disasters" and one major "Civic unrest" (Rodeny King) which have effected a MUCH larger part of the population in the respective areas. Durring this time of infrastructure brerak down, there have been multitudes of REPORTED gangs of criminals numbering in the 6-12 person range that have been active, and actively thwarted by armed citizens WITH high capacity firearms.
3. Durring the Plains Wars between warring Indian tribes, circa 1760-1875. It was a common practice to make sure that the oppositions "warriors" were off hunting, or otherwise disposed before attacking a village. It seems it was much easier to kill a bunch of people and take a bunch of slaves if the defenders were else where. A scalp from a baby or old women was deemed to be just as honorable for "killing the enemy" as a scalp of a warrior killed in batle. (in response to Gun Free Zones!)
4. If the Government limits the amount of ammo I can have in a magazine, they limit the amount of problems I can take care of. I doubt Audi Murphy would have jumped up on the burning tank destroyer if the .50 cal. Browning M2 had been limited to just 10 rounds, and in the same venue I doubt I will enjoin in a fight with 2-3 people if I only have 10 rounds....so we have degraded our actual response to EVIL!!!

The problem is that government is not the answer. The reason there are "Gun free zones" is government. That doesn't seem to be working out that well. Also there is no such thing as "public money" only wealth that has been confiscated under duress from the American people. PG I was really just rattling your cage to but your underlying philosophies are showing.

America has to wake up this isn't a Fox news vs CNN or Democrats vs Republican. This is control vs freedom. Now politics are just the puppet show to keep us occupied so we don't see the man behind the curtain.
