What will the possible upcoming ban do to the growth of the sport?

I've got a young aspiring 3 gunner...

If they copy the last ban I don't think the rifle laws will effect us too much as we don't care about bayonets and most of us replace flash hiders with brakes anyway. Some people use collapsable stocks but most that I know use a fixed stock. LIke Matt said, the magazines will be a kick in the nuts so stock up while you can. I also fear that the libtards will tax ammo to the point that you won't be able to afford to shoot a match very often. With all the guns in the US, you will never get rid of them all but you can take away the ammo and render them useless.

What will the extremely unlikely gun ban do? They haven't stopped competing in California. But they have these weird barricades from the pistol grip to the stock of the AR, and mag changes require a tool.

If they ban AR-15's I'll be it will be a lot different and the production division in USPSA will probably double. It appears Diane Frankenstein would like to copy the same bill that they tried to pass in California which would make it illegal to own an AR rifle and any mags holding any more than 10 rounds.

The ammo is my biggest concern. I like to buy mine at the store. I guess ill have to learn to use that dillon thingy eventually.

Wait. If they Tax the heck out of ammo that won't hurt anybody that is a one time buyer. It just hurts the recreational shooter. These evil doers don't practice they just shoot once then they are done.

Over here in TN Walmarts been out. I did a search on their web site the closest store with 9mm or 223 is 2 hrs away. I talked to the sporting goods manager today and she will not have a shipment in until after the New years. Most other supply stores online are out to or if they do have it more then I can afford.

aren't we getting a little ahead of ourselves??

I am not an alarmist, but I am seeing NRA "A" rated Senators waffling.

I'm not in the financial position today to buy the AR's I want. But, I can sure buy a couple of lowers, a few mags, and that sort of thing no problem. It appears that with a bit of proper planning this deal should be a non event if it happens.
