USPSA @ OKC Gun Club Saturday December 1st

My scores were a lot better than I thought. I'm going to give you guys a run for your money next month. ;)

Burk my good buddy...you've never "shot" with me. You've flung lead in random directions some of which actually hit their intended target. Some day when you "shoot" with me, and do it well I will speak highly of your deeds and actions.

That's kind of harsh. :(

Just remember this is how he feels about competition shooters.

I used to shoot competitively, but I got a bit fed up with the pompus snob nose primadona jackwads that dominate the shooting sports. That is one reason I quit building competition guns. The customer's were such dicks, it just wasn't worth the trouble.

Tony Rumore
Tromix

which is why I brought him out.....to show him this wasn't the case.
He had a great time & everybody was cool & fun to shoot with & was a 180 from the environment he was accustomed to in the 90's.

I forgot my mags again (I know, right) & did not have a problem borrowing some from other shooters. Everyone was happy to help & the ones that couldn't help were tracking down ones that could.
He was pretty impressed by that.

Thanks fellas

Thanks for fixing the detent in the baseplate on my mag. Will you be using it next weekend at Ponca?

I kid I kid. Really though the shooting community is so generous I think someone could show up at a match with nothing and still get enough gear to shoot.

Be sure & go to ponca next weekend just in case I need mags :D

I remember the first match i ever attended as a spectator i had guns and belts coming at me from all directions lol
there really are very few bad apples when you look at the community as a whole

I agree completely with Mr. Rumore's assessment in the 90s of pistol shooters back then, at least where I was at the time! They are the reason I am a 3-gunner. I went to a couple USPSA matches back then and swore I would never shoot another! 3-gunners at the time were the fun guys so I just stayed away. I didn't shoot another 1/3 gun match again until I moved here and found out that the pistol guys around here were great!!!

Well that's cool we can change someones perspective. So many good people we shoot with. Hope he'll join us again.
He doesn't get to OKC too often but maybe now when he does he'll give me a call to see if there's a match happening.

That's actually pretty cool guys. After that statement I pretty much wrote him off. My experience with every group of competition shooters has been positive, from USPSA to the silhouette guys.

Depends on where you go. In my experience, competitive skeet shooters are a bunch of whiny bitches. I'm sure they're not like that everywhere though.

I've had pretty negative experiences with the local cowboy shooters... I'm sure it's just me though. lol.

This was my first match and I'm hooked! Nerves got the best of me but I finished up alright on my last stage. Had no idea it would last so long and had to scoot out of there so my neighbor could make work in time lol, have to plan better next time.

Glad you joined us and had fun. The shooters make it fun as well as the stage designs.

Oh lord, I forgot about them.

I can tell you I have had excellent experiences with the F class guys, silhouette guys, and the shotgun crowd locally. I shoot for amusement and the second I'm surrounded by a bunch of turds is the second Ill stop shooting. But it sounds like we showed someone the local crowd at least is awesome. Good on inviting him and even better on him for giving it a shot.

Well the silhouette guys are cool. I was out at the gun club today and there was a match going on so I decided to stop. It wasn't 30 minutes after it was over they had me shooting one of their 6.5BR pistol and hitting a steel chicken at 150 yards. Pretty cool.
