Anyone know of any 5 round AR mags in the OKC area? I'm going to let my niece use my AR to try and bag a deer.
Just like a plug in a shotgunEvery year I use a wooden dowel rod, or pencil. Take the mag apart and trim to fit. It's real easy, and you can have 7 rounds now.

Scott I have a 5 rounder you can borrow for the deer season if you don't want to plug one. I'll be using a 243 bolt. I'm in Moore as well. Just as long as you promise to return it![]()
Yep that's right Tony. Another thing is if you put a Bic pen in a 30 round metal G.I. mag it will only hold 7 which is the legal amount of 22cal center fire ammo.>Sent from (NULL) Feegee's iPhone using TapatalkP.S. you might be a redneck if you have a Bic pen in your 30 round mag to go deer hunting with.Just like a plug in a shotgun
Feegee, you need to change your title from "null" to "Redneck Guru"
Hehe just run a 308 AR and take the 20rounder loaded full.

Well for myself that's exactly what I'll be doing with my M1A, but I think that would be a bit much for a 70lb girl. And the 7 round limit on .22CFs is just dumb.
Yeah, I've never understood that rule at all.
Ok, I'll clarify.
The legislature is the one that writes the laws. To make it short, some legislator got that on a bill because the ugly black gun was going decimate the deer herds.
Since then other calibers in self loading rifles have came on the market.
I'm friends with several folks in the wildlife department. I talked about how dumb this is.
Their comment was to let it lay the way it is.
If the legislature re-visits this, we will be restricted to 7 rounds on every caliber.
They probably used the Winchester 94 in 30/30 as the golden standard as to how many rounds should be allowedYeah, I figured that's exactly what the case was. Part of my lack of understanding is the "7" though. Where'd that come from?
