Reloading manuals should specify a trim length. At least, I think my Sierra and Hornady do. But trim to 1.750, 1.740 if you want to use an X-Die.

Mitch, use a lanolin based lube like the Dillon spray on stuff. Applied even remotley correctly you wont stick any more cases. Only better case lube is the imperial wax which you can apply by rubbing a bit on your palms and running your cases through your hands. Either works great, I've posted my home made Dillon spray lube recipe here before I'm sure.
Trim to 1.75 or thereabouts, 1.74 even if you're not using a X die will give you another load or two until you have to trim again. If you start shooting crap tons of 223 the 1200 trimmer will be in your future.

I've heard some say the Hornady one shot didn't work for them, but I've loaded thousands of cases without a single stuck round in everything from .223, .270 .300 Savage, and the list goes on. I'm pretty liberal with it when spraying it on.

I'm inexperienced but made my own lube with some lanolin and alcohol. Had to warm it up a bit to be able to mix and spray it. Seems to work well. If you lube properly, you shouldn't get stuck cases.

I used Hornady One Shot, and it did very well. The problem was some cases not sizing all the way, and then running them through multiple times to see if they'd resize (terrrible, terrible idea). It was tough to reconcile having a bunch of reject cases, since pistol brass rejects are always a tiny number. The ones that wouldn't resize usually went in the die most of the way, but some only made it halfway and then stuck, and those couldn't be resized at all. After maybe a dozen of these issues, I ended up just tossing them in the recycle bucket.
I also just bought a lifetime supply of lanolin to mix with alcohol, a la GT.

I used hornady one shot with 308 & 223 then one day I stuck several cases of .223 after talking to spiff I got Dillon lube I resized ca. 800 more then I discovered my problem was I had inadvertently usef the 9mm shell plate. 2 squirts of lube in a gallon Ziploc bag & 6 handfuls of. 223 then shake.
I only use the one shot when I do not have time to clean the rounds before I shoot them. And when I load 308 I spray the one shot in the die ever so often.
When resizing .223 chamber check your rds as you go, I thought I had my FL resizing die snugged down, turns fine turns out they were 1-3 thousands to long they fed fine ejected fine when fired but were extremely hard to manually eject. The shells worked fine in other guns just not my Saturn. 223 wylde barrel. for card board killers I run them through the small base die this ensures reliability.

It's my observation that almost all of the stuck case stories on the intarwebs start with "I was using Hornady One Shot and..."

Not mine. I was using the RCBS goop on a pad method. I've stuck 2-.223 brass. One in a RCBS die - that sucked, then one in a Dillon die. That sucked worse. Broke the decapping / neck sizing internal part.

I had a lee die I just hammered it out and pulled them apart and kept trucking. Lee dies for. 223 are pretty tough I keep extra decapping rods on hand but only have changed it once.

Same here.
I've stuck every caliber I own using the pad and RCBS lube. Ive had to build extraction tools for each set of dies. The liberal application of one shot stopped that.

One shot applied copiously and allowed to dry will work. The lanolin based lubes just perform better IMO.

I suspect its Silicon lube. I have some industrial silicon stuff, and have lots more .223 to load. I'll hit some cases with it, and see what happens.
Using the dillion lube, do you have to run them through a tumbler to remove the lube after loading? I always hated the RCBS lube pad, because having to clean the cases after loading added one more step to the process.

Dennis that Dillon lube is lanoline based. As far as I know all lanoline based lubes will foul powder so keep that in mind. I usually do all sizing and them tumble to remove the lube before loading.
The Hornady one shot lube is a wax base. It will not foul powder if allowed to dry before loading which really only takes a couple of minutes. I tumble my loaded rounds afterwards with this stuff but I only use it on pistol rounds. All My rifle stuff gets GT's recipe or Imperial.
Edit: I wonder about the silicone on powder and primers. Doesn't sound like a good combo.

Dennis, that is the downside to the lanolin based lubes. They need to be cleaned off the cases before loading.

I don't lube pistol rounds with carbide dies. Crap.....Just remembered the tumbler is still on since yesterday. Bet they will be really shiney.

The cases I used One Shot on are fairly sticky with dried lube. Kind of like your mom. jk. I am going to tumble them to get the lube off. Does the tumbling media saturate with lube at some point? Do you keep it separate from other media?

I've been using the same media for I guess 4 years and tumbling everything in it. I stick 3-4 used dryer sheets in it for every load and wipe the dust out with a wet paper towel and it's still doing fine. But I've never used one shot, just the Dillon stuff.

I use plain corncob that's pretty fresh. Don't know that it's ever loaded up because I usually end up adding it into my cleaning media when it gets cruddy looking. I use about 50/50 corncob and walnut and keep my cleaning media separate because I use mineral spirits and polish in it. Loaded ammo is plain corncob with nothing added. And do use the used dryer sheets, they help alot.

I finally got to make the cartridges today. I went with 24.7 gr of A2230, OAL of 2.200", with 55 gr Hornady FMJs. The cannelure on these projectiles is just as inconsistently placed as the reviews on Midway say that it is. Testing them tomorrow.
