Reloading manuals should specify a trim length. At least, I think my Sierra and Hornady do. But trim to 1.750, 1.740 if you want to use an X-Die.
Same here.Not mine. I was using the RCBS goop on a pad method. I've stuck 2-.223 brass. One in a RCBS die - that sucked, then one in a Dillon die. That sucked worse. Broke the decapping / neck sizing internal part.
Dennis that Dillon lube is lanoline based. As far as I know all lanoline based lubes will foul powder so keep that in mind. I usually do all sizing and them tumble to remove the lube before loading.I suspect its Silicon lube. I have some industrial silicon stuff, and have lots more .223 to load. I'll hit some cases with it, and see what happens.
Using the dillion lube, do you have to run them through a tumbler to remove the lube after loading? I always hated the RCBS lube pad, because having to clean the cases after loading added one more step to the process.
