Is there a local source for AR tools? I've never bought any, and need to remove my free-float tube to install a new gas block, and am not interested in waiting for a shipment.

Click through the Brownells link on the front page and buy the tools there. They will be here by Wednesday.

Don't get an armorers wrench from marks firearms. I bought one there awhile back and it was out of spec.
Plus he was a less than friendly when we asked him about sponsoring the forum early on. Not, no thanks, I'm not interested. The conversation turned me off. Hopefully I'm taking it out of context.

He is kind of a douche. I went in looking for some detent pins and he said he would only sell a LPK when I saw a box of puns behind the mess of a counter he had. He also claims that pmags fail all the time and the were crap that he wouldn't sell. Seems like a lot of folks I know use them.

Yeah that armorers wrench was the only thing I purchased and I won't go back. OSA can glorify him all they want, but I won't have anything to do with him.

Man........I guess I need to get some detent pins :D

I've only had one transaction with Mark 2-3 years ago, and it was all very good for me. It's like they say you don't get a second chance to make a first impression! YMMV

Since being on this forum and actually meeting and shooting with forum members and getting what I believe to be solid and good advice when I have questions, all my last purchases have been with businesses that support BoomerShooter (in no particular order)

Make Ready Pro Shop
Joe Bob's
Sooner State Pawn
Cold Hand Arms
& Brownells (forum link)

Plus all group buys I have been a part of have gone very well.

Joe bobs has some tools and he gets them to tulsa in 2 days good prices and a forum sponsor to boot plus he gives boomer shooter members a 5% discount code boomer and has awesome customer service

anyone do AR trigger work local?

Best thing to do is get the light springs from Tony at makereadyproshop.com and then cut the back of you hammer off, and maybe lightly stone your disconnector. If you need help let me know.

Matt Rigsby, I am very sorry it was not what you wanted, it is too bad you did not contact me and I would have worked out an exchange with you, or just given you your money back.

Jesse Tischauser, it is too bad you feel that way with out even meeting me. I did not have enough money to sponcer any more forums, but that is what I told your programmer when he contacted me. So if I do not have enough money to sponcer any more forums in your eyes I am a d$7/ . You sound like a real nice person.

Matt Washburn, I am sorry you feel I am a real douche. The funny thing is that I do carry detent pins, and sell a lot of them, are you sure it was me? I would never make someone purchase a LPK because they needed detent pins, I sell all the parts by them selves, in fact I have sold them to several people on this forum. You are correct, I do not think very much of Pmags, but is that not my right?

If there is a problem with a product that I sell, I try everything in my power to make it right. If you do not tell me how am I to make it right.

Thank you,

Mark

I'm sure Brandon has the direct response and he will be along shortly to set the record straight.

My opinion didnt have anything to do with you not having enough money. In fact, lots of ompanies decline sponsoring our forum but they do so respectfully. You sir did not take that approach. When Brandon digs up that old message trail and I'm mistaking you for someone else or I remember the conversation wrong I owe you an apology and ill retract my previous posts.

I did meet you way back when you first started out if memory serves me right. I bought my first DPMS lower from you in early to mid 2009. I believe I still have it or gave it to my father-in-law. You were located in an empty store front in a strip mall with nothing but a few empty shelves, a couple of desks, and a big safe. I don't remember anything bad about that FTF if that was you way back when.

Wow, this kind of turned into an OSA-type thread. Reminds me of bickering children who need more to do.

Mitch, if you're in need of tools I have some (as well as a portable vise) that I'd be more than happy to drop off or help you with. I doubt anyone has any for sale locally anymore. I ordered mine from Brownells as well. Be careful not to order a cheap barrel nut tool, you'll just have to buy another one if your barrel nut is seized because it will strip itself.

That's one way to bring back an almost 4 month old thread....

Mark - did you ever find someone to guarantee your return on your advertising money? I'm still looking for that person also!

I've ruined a barrel nut or two as well as a wrench. What is considered a cheap nut or wrench? I'd like to have one of each that I know ain't gonna break.
