Ok, here it the info and a sign-up sheet for the State Revolver Championship Match.

We'll shoot 7 challenging, 6-round neutral, stages. A Bar-B-Que lunch will be provided at the range at the end of the match. Cost of the lunch is included in your application fee. We'll have plaques for our winners in three divisions, Open Revolver, Limited Revolver (iron sights), and Stock Revolver (speed loaders).

You can shoot any kind of revolver you like, (Snubby, Single Action, etc. bring what you got and shoot it). Holsters must meet USPSA rules and revolvers must meet USPSA caliber guidelines (.355 and above) and round count. This means if you have a revo that holds more than 6 rounds, you can shoot it, but you can only shoot 6 rounds before reloading.

This match will be held in conjuction with our regular USPSA match so there may be other divisions participating but only revolvers will be eligible for awards.

Squadding will be done on the morning of the match. Just let us know who you want to squad with and we'll do our best to make that happen within reason.

There will be a chronograph stage so make certain your loads are correct and/or declare the proper scoring catagory.

Print and fill out the form and get it mailed in as soon as possible so that we can get an idea of numbers for lunch and participants in each division/class. There needs to be at least five in a division/class for a 2nd place plaque. The form is in an earlier version of Word, so I hope everyone can open and print. Let me know if you need another version to be able to access.

So Come ON! Anyone can shoot a bottom feeder with a 20 round magazine. Even if you only do it once this year, grab your revo and come have a lot of fun.

Certainly if Boomer Shooter or other entity would like to contribute prizes we'd be more than happy to advertise their sponsorship at the match and make certain the prizes are awarded. We have no problem what so ever in seeing deserving shooters get rewarded for playing in their choosen sport.

Seems that Jesse has posted the first excuse to not shoot the Revo. Really, family coming and staying that long at your house? Sorry Bro! What about the rest of you shooters? I'm sure Team Bubber will be there. In fact, the little plate shooting feat spoken of on the other post is a requirement to be a part of Team Bubber isn't it? Three shots to turn them on edge and three to knock em down. It ain't braggen if you can do it.

Actually it looks like ill be in the FL Keys that day. I tried to cancel cause Duncan is so much nicer that time of year but American wouldn't refund my flights. Y'all have fun.

If somebody needs my gun, belt and moon clips let me know.

Duncan, Florida Keys, Hum? Ok maybe the weather would be a little nicer in the keys; but I bet we'll be having more fun.......Ok, maybe not, but we will be having fun. Next year we'll definitely not hold this in November because I know it causes a lot of problems for a lot of reasons.

Thanks Jesse for loaning out your equipment, I hope someone will take you up on it and try revolver shooting. I think you would have liked the changes that have been (and are) being made to our range, you'll just have to find another reason to come down again.

Wall: You can get it to hold 18 (think divisible by 6) they just don't load or unload very fast! LOL!

Just push and hold the thingymagigee and swing out the doohickey. You can then put the bullets in head first. Shoot fast - no misses allowed. Simple

you know Wall... that's how it all starts.... next thing you know you'll start itching to shoot revolver at other uspsa matches and even come and try icore... then your semi autos will start collecting dust because you like the challenge a revolver gives you at a match.....

Well, I'm not going to list them in the classifieds just yet.

This Revolver match was started at SCRAP almost 12 years ago as a memorial to a gentleman who shot and supported USPSA at SCRAP for many years. It has since become a tradition for our club to shoot a USPSA match specifically taylored to revolver shooting to commemorate that event and our friend and competitor. So our efforts to maintain our tradition have put us in a delicate situation reguarding standards set by USPSA, and we have no desire to offend nor skirt those rules in anyway.

We've learned some valuable lessons and the best I can give you is that "We'll do better next time". Because we're keeping this at a level I match and allowing other divisions to shoot, we technically cannot call it a "State" match. So from this time forward, this match will be called "SCRAP Revolver Championship".

We'll still have plaques and we'll still have BBQ lunch at the range, and it will still be a match taylored toward shooting revolvers.

Next year, we'll look forward to a Level II match, at a time that will (hopefully) not conflict with holidays and other matches, and can carry the label of a State Sectional. (Even though it may still be named the SCRAP Revolver Championship).

This year, I can still promise you an opportunity to come shoot a revolver while most everyone else around you is shooting revolvers as well, and learn how much fun it can be even if you have to think a little more! And I promise, it will be fun! And that's all I have to say about that!

Edit: Suggest that Mod's change the title of this thread accordingly.....Thanks

I attended this match a couple of times. It is one of my favorites. All the misguided people who don't usually shoot revolver should buy, or borrow a revolver and attend this match. You won't believe how much fun you will have.

Ok guys No. 343 let me down. I was counting on him to be at the 3gun match & teach me how to reload this thing but he didn't show.
So, I'm shifting gears & going for style points. I'm devoting the rest of my time to practing gun twirls for re-holstering.
