It's my understanding that 34s issued to LE don't have the 3.5# connector so you'll need to pay the $25 or whatever it is for that.

This is correct. I bought a LE 34 gen4 and it came with a 5.5# connector.

These are relatively cheap but I bought a G17 trade in in the past and it was in much worse condition cosmetically than I expected. Functionality was fine though.
