OKLAHOMA Open/Limited Championship 2012

I sucked as usual, but thanks to the squads for letting me shoot through, and messing up their order of fire.
Enjoyed meeting everybody and enjoying their company.....you too Brandon......

The HHF for Classifiers basically uses the top ten scores for a given Classifier.

However, it is not an ever evolving HHF. Once the HHF is set, it essentially stays set until such time as they decide it might need to be updated.

I've had a HF as much as 117%, but the HHF for that Classifier remains unchanged.

Thank you for the explanation. That's makes me feel better. My classifier % is much higher now without comparing it to Chamber's HF.

On another note, it's Sunday and still no scores??

I seem to remember another thread that you said years ago you were mailed scores and you had to wait weeks after a match to get them. I was told by an RO that the scores are done. I'm assuming they will be uploaded some time today/tomorrow.

If we could only get the same speed out of an un-named holster builder, a lot more of us would be shooting kytac holsters. 😁

But what do I know, I'm only a guy that waited 2 months for a great holster.

Yeah, we had to wait up to one week to receive the mailed monthly match results......in 1985.....

They tried a new method of score keeping today with the digital pads. They knew there may be some issues so they backed everything up with the traditional paper method. This was the first "tablet scoring" match.

Give them a break. They were smart enough to back it up with paper in case the new system failed. If the computer system worked as planned, we would have had final scores 5 minutes after the last squad finished. They had some bugs. It took them a bit, but the scores are done. I'm sure they will be posted soon.

Look, I was only curious about the scores, along with everyone else. I'd hoped they got posted somewhere and I simply couldn't find them.

So, they didn't count you? :sarcastichand: (kidding)

Is it the average of the top 10 after they get X number or what? It makes sense since 2 or 3 guys would be shooting all the HHFs and busting the curve. Good info. I honestly don't know nearly enough about USPSA...

No, they didn't include my 117%, just like they won't include your run, presuming it exceeded 100%

At the Single Stack Nationals one year, they did the Classifier, "Mini-Mart," presumably to establish a HHF for the new 1911 division. My run exceeded the existing HHF, was one of the top scores there and I thought it would be one of the ten scores used to calculate the new HHF. I ended up with a 95%.....apparently, they had some other top scores to use that were not fired at the SS Nationals.

When Production was a new division, I'm told they simply reduced the HHF by 10% off the existing HHF's in Limited. This resulted in both easy and hard to achieve HHF's, and were adjusted as authentic Production scores rolled in.

Fun match. Glad I got to see and shoot with some of the BoomerShooter crew. That swinging star was pretty crazy and challenging. I kinda liked how they did the little speed shoots inside of the larger stages.

Great match yesterday and got to shoot with some great people, and had a good time! I really like the Ponca City range and crew!! Wish I would have shot a little better and not had that squib but oh well. Thank you Tony Wall for the ride down there, and Kirk Smith for the pointers and all the help.

yep, our squad (3) ran like a swiss watch. The electronic scoring was a breeze & we the only issue we had was when we misplaced our nook during lunch. Found it pretty quicly & was back in action in no time. I'm looking forward to this format at the upcoming monthly ponca matches.

Yeah, i was also told that GT would personally deliver the match results to my house and personally console me for how i shot...
