Does anyone know, or do Duracoating that could do the slide on my Glock 26? Would like to change the color from the standard black to a dull gray.

You can get the kit from them pretty cheap and it's not hard to do as long as you get the surface prep done well ahead of time. Here's a pic of one of my ARs I did in the garage using their $50 kit.

Looks pretty sharp. Jared replied to my email and said he did Glock slides for $85. To me the extra $35 is money well spent to know it will be done correctly and not look like some red neck painted it with a 4" house brush, which is exactly how it would turn out if I tried to do it myself. I'm just completely devoid of any kind of painting skills.

I heard this is the way of lot of the top semi-pros are doing their guns now. Kind of a "trashy chic"

People just act like it's cool to cover up their bad paint job as hip. They'll probably start wearing dreadlocks and skinny jeans next.

You might ask Brad Smith on here as well.
And go with CeraKote over DuraKote.

How durable is that finish? If it was on your competition gun, does the constant in/out of the holster cause it to wear easily?

CeraKote is much, much better that DuraKote & tons better than Bluing. The best thing for competition guns would be eithier hard chrome or one of the IonBond Equiv. or SS. My 2011 slide is blued & from the begining I made peace with the fact that the finish will not hold up to draws much less dumping it in the buckets/tables etc.

This is some of Jared's work over at Harsh Firearms.

I posted a couple up in the AR photo Thread here is the one Jared sent me after it was finished. I had him coat the barrel black and the receivers and rail FDE
