Tactical Rimfire 2-Gun, Carrygun match August 5th Heartland

I'll be running my M&P 15-22 and my GSG 1911 .22 pistol, staying with all rimfire!

Big thanks to the guys at HO for putting on this match. I had a great time at my first one and I'll be back for more!

Match was fun, enjoyed the stages, if I could just follow instructions it would've been better for me!

Great stages tonight...really liked the swinging porthole to shoot through. Found out in the first two stages that my Ruger 22/45 needed some lube as it was sticking open. Guess that's what I get for not cleaning it. Weird thing is, I shot it an hour before the match with zero problems. Guess the clock induces malfunctions.

Yeah, I've found that most of my gun problems manifest themselves for the first time after the "beep " goes off. Weird, ain't it?

Everyone liked the "Swinging Port o' Death," so look for it again at the next match!

You had a stationary target to hit thru the port as it swung by and a target affixed to the swinging apparatus. One fixed target, one moving (rifle shooters had two moving).

Interesting combination, actually.

Maybe, Maybe Not... I followed all the instructions, didn't seem to help me much. :)

THANK YOU! ! to Heartland Outdoors for Hosting, and to David for running the match, and Benjamin for keeping score.

This was a lot of fun!

I was so happy that I shot that target clean, that I had 2 deltas on the non-moving targets that were next. :

Here's why: the first target was new and challenging, so you paid extra attention to the necessary details and shot carefully and accurately.

Afterwards, you thought to yourself, consciously or subconsciously, "the rest of the shots are easy," so you didn't give each shot the focus required to make center hits.

Give each shot the attention required and you'll stop having delta hits. (easy to say, hard to do)

I saw UZI and M16 on the match results. Somebody has to have video, right? That's freakin' awesome.

Where else can you shoot a challenging match that allows guns from .22 rimfire to full-auto Uzis to suppressed guns?

Only at Heartland!

I had a blast last night. Thanks to everyone. Myself at the match last night in my Law Enforcement tartan from Sport Kilt. I took First Place in the Hi Cap division and it was my first time shooting my 17 in competition. I normally shoot my 26 in the Carry Gun Match.

The first pic is a link to the video. Yes, I did shoot the wiffle ball.

It was fun to watch... But he only had 2 good hits and about 50 No Shoots on the moving target. :)

After the Uzi had issues the first stage, then the Eotech went down on the M16 (no rear sight) ... I said F'it and just lit it up.

Thnks to my buddy RG for bringing his toys.

Two things:

1) the wiffle ball was an optional target intended only for the RIFLE shooters. He was just showing off!

2) We are glad our kilt wearing shooters did not shoot RIfle, as it required shooting from prone.
