Kurt Miller Shotgun Level 1

Here is another great opportunity to learn from the best, Kurt is THE best Tactical shotgun operator I know of. There is no other name that comes to mind when I think Shotgun and Action Shooting. Anyone who keeps up with 3 gun recognises his name immediately.

I have known Kurt for going on 10 years now, he is a great competitor and a great person. His pistol skills always have challenged me at the range and his shotgun skills are way beyond that.

Kurt has taken the skill sets that have to be accomplished to reload a shotgun and turned then into an art form. He will walk you thru the all aspects of Action Shotgun Shooting. From simple techniques that will gain you seconds in a match to advanced techniques that with lots of practice will put you in another class of shooters.(Did I mention with lots of practice). Kurt is the total package and he is going to share his knowledge with 16 students.

The class will take place at Alpha Training Academy on MAY 26th and 27th 2012. Cost for the class is $350 before May 1st and $400 after that. This class is limited in size to 16 competitors and I expect it to fill up fast.

For more information check out the website under "Classes"

SEE YOU ON THE RANGE!!!

Dang it. Of course, this has to be on the weekend that my brother is getting married. If it wasn't for that I would be signed up in a heartbeat.
And I even have a brand new M2 21" that I need to break in.

2 cases (500 rds) birdshot, 25 slugs and 25 buckshot enough ammo to cover this class???

Trying to figure out how to attend. I need to begin stockpiling ammo now.

My check is in the mail, gonna learn how to run this Benelli M2 the right way or sell it for good. I know Wes and Cyrwus think its going to be option 2. All you guys that wanted Kurt to give a class in OK, here it is within easy driving distance.

I wouold be surprized if it was, but contact Robert at Alpha Training center to make sure. I am never amazed that most folks want to learn shotgun on their own. After all it,s a shotgun...how can you miss? But I will say this shotgun is AT LEAST 1/3 of your 3-gun score and most folks never give it the atention it deserves!

There is still plenty of room left in the class. the cost is still $350 until May 1st then after that it goes to $400.
If you want in the class drop the check in the mail on or before May 1st and let me know it is on the way and that will be fine.
I can also take credit card payments if you choose.

This is going to be a great class, don't miss out.

What is the

Whats the word on suggested round count?

I would plan on 350 shot, 50 buck, and 75 slug. You will probably have a little buck and slug left over, but every time I say 25 and 50 we end up with a couple of folks that have a hard time getting their gun sighted in and trouble patterning.

I'm getting my stuff together for the class. If anyone needs slugs or buck (win ranger low recoil) let me know so I can bring extra.

Well, I have my shotgun with a 9 shell tube on it, 4 man mountan caddies and 2 other 6 round caddies, I have plenty of cheap birdshot from Walmart and 75 rounds of Flite control buck and 75 rounds of low recoil slug ready to go. What else do I need?

I saw KurtM responded to your question DoctorJJ but we had some database issues this morning and a few posts got vaporized. He said you were good to go.

Just want to make sure nobody thought we were deleting posts.

Thanks Jesse.

Kurt,
One more question. Do you recommend knee pads/elbow pads for the course or is most of this from standing position?
