Shotgun Loading Help

Kinda sucks because this thread killed any chance of people giving me pointers, literally like a couple hours before I saw this thread I took a couple videos of myself loading the shotgun so I could actually ask for some critique...guess thats out now huh...

I'd be happy to look at your videos. Close ups of your hands help diagnosis the good and the bad.

Well geeze Jesse a video of a guy teasing his talking dog with bacon has over 109,000,000 hits in less than a year, so I guess by your logic there are lots of folks wanting to learn how to taunt their talking dog and are starved for info on how to do that as well. BTW I know some of those 200,000 hit,s of yours in 3 years were kids trying to find cute cuddly bears and got to learn a few new words for their surfing endevors :sarcastichand: (I.L.T.B.)

Now this "facebook" of which you speak....is this the face book that has caused people to loose their jobs? Wives?, Freedom? Is this the place to make your private life public and record it all for posterity? Well we are back to Mr. Manson aren't we; cause we ARE all stars... :jester:

(NOTE: DISCLAIMER!!! I am just messing with Jesse who IS a friend of mine...or at least was untill he saw what I said on Facebook, and I hope you all see a little humor in this cause that is the way it is ment. I mean come on....Medow Muffin 3-Gun National Challenge, and did you notice to cool seg when in one post I mentioned my dog could talk and then two posts latter we are talking about a talking dog?.....Hell I could have told those guys how to taunt their dog....I got one!)

Facebook actually allows the user to upload and post the info they want to post. So like Jake said If someone wants upload information that could ruin their life then thats their choice.

I will say that I have helped more new shooters and my sponsors get in touch with customers via facebook and (YouTube for that matter) than any other means of communication. Facebook just so happens to be the busiest website in the world so I guess its just me. :drag:

No, it,s not just you. Many tweens and teen get their info from Facebook, so be bold you are not alone. Matter of fact my talking dog likes it too.

Dave, post away, but like we have talked about, you got to know who is replying.

Jesse you need to ad somethings to your mayoral list, Defender of cardboard and the inter-web ( re the MGM target thread)

First off I would no more post an "I love me" video on facebook than I would screw a goat head, (I zeroed that stage). Besides that guy doesn't have facial hair so he can't be me. Now leave me alone I've got to turn my Sun dial ahead an hour.

Jessie your looking at your shells on your belt more than the shells and gun your loading. I know this thread is old, but im new to the site, so its all new to me...

I have found once I get the first shell in the gun I really don't have to look. It's all subconscious movement. Kinda like sticking your keys in the ignition of your car.

Exactly.
Some call it muscle memory.
In my opinion it's eye/hand coordination.
Some have more than others. Practice makes perfect.
A little story:
Back in the day, we hunted rabbits behind beagles with .22 pistols. Running shots were the norm.
Early season, one laid down a hail of bullets on the rabbit, hoping it would run into them.
Fast forward to late season, one or two shots were sufficient.
Long story short, it's practice, shooting tons of matches, dry firing at home that puts one on the leader board.

Crap! After 20 years of driving I still fumble that action... Shotgun, we are doomed.

But on a serious note, I'm glad you guys are posting this type of information in a video format. These tips are giving me some good ideas on what staged movements to practice and showing me visually rather than just telling me textually.
