Carry Gun Match - Heartland Outdoors 3-18-12

Come on boys and girls, no more snubby shooters? Bet a a lot of you have one you hardly ever shoot. Now would be a time to give it a spin. Never know when you might have to shoot it instead of just carry it. Burk? Jeff? David? Jesse?

I won't be back from Tulsa in time.

One of the snubbies would be in play if I could make it.
The Colt Cobra needs shooting.... You other snubbie folks wouldn't whine too much about the sixth shot? Lol
 
The 5-shooters might point out they actually have an advantage, as you'd have to shoot 3 more shots than they do......and they never miss.....

I wouldn't say never but DRT scoring can be an advantage vs a 6 shot snub or other revolver.
 
DRT allows the 5-shot snubs to compete, which was the intent.

Mike, if no one else shoots snubby, I'll shoot one. I'm not a snubby toter, but I like the guns.

Would you prefer I shoot a 5-shot Airweight or a 6-shot all steel?

Cool, airweight 5 shot, Shannon has agreed to as well. That's at least 4, anyone else up want to give it a try? If you bring .38 special factory ammo, I'll bring an extra gun, holster, and speed loaders you can borrow. It would be a belt slot holster and HKS loaders with S&W 340 M&P, regular grips. It has a nice big front sight to focus on. I thought about shooting my new .22 LR snub as a second gun but don't have any loaders that would work for it. 8 shots and a sweet little shooter.
 
14 folks have already used online signup in less than 24 hours - keep it coming guys - this will make things much easier at registration.

I signed up twice since I'm shooting a 2nd gun, not sure if you could make this an option or not.

Mike we are still toying with the ideas on signing up two guns. Our current thinking is that if you sign up two guns and the match hits the 50 number you don't get to shoot the 2nd gun. So we thought maybe the 2nd gun should require sign in at the match to allow the 1 gunners first dibs on the 50 slots. It's easy enough to sign up twice or add a 2nd gun question though.

Any input from the folks using the system is encouraged.

Have y'all seen the registration list?? Go to the sign in page, go to the heartland match, go to the upper left hand corner and there is a match attendees link. How cool is that?
