Remington's 2012 Fallen Brethren 3-Gun Challenge in conjunction with Spartan Tactical
Official Announcement

It's time for the Second Annual Fallen Brethren Challenge. This year's match is going to be bigger and better than last year's.

This year's Fallen Brethren 3-Gun Challenge will again be held at the Spartan Tactical Range Complex in Jacksboro, TX and the infamous Stage 9 will be there to separate the shooters from the posers.

We will have 9 challenging stages over the course of 3 days. This Multi-Gun event will be held from the 5th to the 7th of October. Staff, RO's and Vendor Shooters will compete all day on Thursday the 4th.

Updates will be posted HERE within the next couple weeks regarding registration, entry fees, match info, and sponsorship. If your sponsor/company is interested in supporting this event, please contact us as soon as possible.

We've streamlined the registration this year. A link on the match website (www.FB3Gun.com) will begin the countdown starting next week.

Sandra Orvig is doing stats again this year. RO invitations are going out this weekend.

Please check back here as often as possible to stay up to date!

Registration Instructions

The www.FB3Gun.com website is up and ticking. The homepage has a countdown timer under the main graphic. That timer will reach zero on Sunday, March 4th at 8pm. When the timer reaches zero, it will reveal the address of the registration page for the match. Slots for the match are limited.

You'll need to copy that url (web address) and paste it into your browser window. That will take you to the registration page. You can download a copy of this registration page here:

Registration Instructions page 1

The normal disclaimers and payment instructions are on the left side of the registration page. On the right side of the page (in the middle of the right column), you'll see two options to register. The first option is to buy a $51 ticket. This is the actual deposit ticket that you want. Select “1” under Qty. The second ticket is for Standby registration. If the registration has filled up, the $51 tickets will no longer be available and you should ‘buy’ one of the free standby tickets. The information you provide will be the same but no charge will be assessed. It will just get you on the waiting list in the order of registration.
Once you ‘Sign Up Now’, you’ll be taken to the next page where we collect your information. You can download a copy of this page here:

Registration Instructions page 2

Important things to look at might be class, who you want to squad with, shirt sizes and options available and whether you want to shoot just Thursday or the full 3 day match. You might even want to fill in the above form so you’ll have the answers written down while you fill out the online form.

After completing your registration form, the final step is payment. The payment screen will have a Spartan Logo in the upper left corner along with a description of your purchase.

IMPORTANT: On the right side of the screen you’ll have the opportunity to use a PayPal account. If you have one, great. If not, CLICK WHERE IT SAYS “Don’t have a PayPal account?”. That will open the credit card processing window. Some of the fields will be filled in already. It’ll want your CC number and a few other questions. Once you hit Review and Continue, you’re done!
Hopefully this post will help answer any questions before they come up. We’ve done everything we can to make this year’s sign up process easy.

If you have any questions about the sign up process, please feel free to ask.

Good Hunting on Sunday night.

I cant say enough good about Jim Smith and his Crew, they did a great job up here in the heat last year!!!!!!! Hope ya'll have fun at the match!!!!!

Thanks for your help tonight Chris.

And for the masses, please disregard the original sign-in instructions. Way too complicated... and liberal. It seems that the company that was hosting the signup form figured out that we play with guns. We're evil. They didn't want our business so that got rid of the cumbersome log in process and the $1 fee they charged for each registration. That means we're back to a simple $50 for registration.

I just spent the last two days writing our own log in procedure it's about as simple as it can be. After you use it Sunday night, I'll be anxious to get your feedback.

1. Sunday evening - go to www.FB3Gun.com

2. Click on the great big button that says "Click Here for Registration".

3. You'll see 4 countdown timers running. Wait for the clocks to hit zero. (Don't have to touch a thing... when they hit zero, the page changes automatically!)

4. Fill in the form (it's straight forward and finishes with your credit card number).

5. After completing the form, it takes you to your Thank You page with a few additional details.

The good news is that it was tested tonight by Chris and it works. The further good news is that I'll be in Europe when the clock hits zero so if things blow up with 500 guys hitting "Submit" at the same time and crashing the server, I'll just apply for political asylum. :eatdrink:

**IMPORTANT**
I've tested it with IE8, FireFox and Safari (PC and Mac). They work fine.
The only issue that I've found is with using "Google Chrome" and mobile browsers (iPhone, etc). The clocks don't display at all (and don't redirect at the zero hour). I suggest you go to the FB3Gun.com site now and click on the Registration button. If you don't see 4 timers in a red box, you need to use a different browser.

No idea WTF I'm doing but I just registerred for this match - hell I guess I need to hurry and start shooting 3 gun to practice!!!!!!!

Long drive from FTW but I'm about to start going - I got some goodies on order so I can start shooting - just need to finish my ar then im gtg

When I was shooting F Class (600-1000 yd prone) matches, there was a father/daughter pair that left at 430am from the DFW area because it was the closest match for them to come shoot. At least now since you have moved from MS, there are multiple 3 gun matches per month that are within daily driving distance. And I'm sure you can find a friendly place to crash if you decide to come the night before the match.

Jesse, they want 15 to recognize so Please shoot Heavy tactical with me. You will at least beat one person.

Heavy tactical is no optics? If that's so there ain't no way your getting 15 iron sight HM irons shooters. You might get 15 total HM shooters which means the Iron's guys shoot against the scopes.

I only plan to shoot HM if it plays a part in the 3 Gun Nation divisional series points.

Heavy Tactical is optics, Heavy Metal is irons. I wish they would just make it HM optics and irons and leave the other guns the same. but Heavy tactical is what most are using and that is just shootin 308 with the other tactical optics gear. I don't like it but I don't see well enough to shoot irons any more. :banghead:

I'm in for this one as well (TO as always). I was on the staff for this event last year. What a fun match (despite the weather). I'm looking forward to it. This may be my last 3G of 2012 since there aren't any in Nov. and Dec. Pretty sure I'm not doing BR3G and then I have the A4/Gator Classic to shoot at the end of the month.
