Help Me Design a Gun/Reloading Room

I've seen some pretty glorious rooms online that I swore I'd pattern MY room after eventually.

I'd do a bench down the 4-1/2' side and built-ins on the the other, built around my safe.

I think you should build a reloading bench like this one. Looks bad ass and plenty of storage space. And if you use the harbor freight 13 drawer boxes, they are on sale for $390 right now. Just make sure you get the gloss red ones because they are about to discontinue the old color.

Is the room already finished? If not, I'd look into pocket doors. You won't be fumbling around with swinging doors in the way in a small room.

set up your safe so that the opening side is against the wall, in a corner. That way there will be no room to leverage a pry bar into the door.

I Would think somewhere in there you would want a fire cabinet to store primers and powder. Then a set of Liberty safe doors to top it off! That would be my addition to this room.

This thread isn't necessarily about reloading benches but there might be some cool ideas for reloading benches in there. If you had more space, I think you should just build one like this.

That's what the garage will look like. I'm seriously thinking I will use my 10x10 room just for reloading and firearm cleaning/maintenance. Maybe 3 dillon 650'd in one side and two long gun sized work stations on the other?

I'm trying to fit my stuff in a 10X8.5 and lets just say your room ain't big enough! get rid of a door maybe, I like the pocket door idea! are there any windows? It can be done but to have everything out at once might be a touch on the tight side. The thing that gets me is the doors are in the wrong place and the safe door takes up some room I didn't think about when I set it where it is, you have to be able to get into the safe so you have door swing.

Good luck but there is an old saying if you think you need XXXX amount of room just double it and add a 1/4 and you might have enough room LOL Later,

Once you pop, you can't stop. I have one for 45ACP and wish I had the room for two more. This should be a fun project!

This is what my gun room looked like empty. I don't keep any ammo or reloading equipment in this room. That stays in the garage Only shooting accessories and guns. I have a small bench for cleaning and tinkering with the guns.
