All,

We have a rare opportunity to participate in a one-day, small class taught by Ben Stoeger, the 2011 US Production Class National Champion. Before we can finalize the class itinerary, we need to gauge interest level. Please find below preliminary information to the class. We will endeavor to distribute further details by the end of January and to finalize the itinerary by February 29, 2012. All information herein is subject to change.

1. Instructor: Ben Stoeger (2011 US Production Class National Champion, 2011 World Shoot Production Class 2nd Place)

2. When: Friday, April 20, 2012 (Thursday, April 19th, just prior to the 2012 Space City Challenge)

3. Where: Houston (Location to be determined)

4. Class Format: one full-day

5. Number of Participants: Five (5); two (2) slots are currently available; a wait-list will be created to accommodate overflow

6. Class Focus/Level: Production shooters who are classified as high-C (i.e. 55%+) and higher

7. Cost: Estimated to be $200 per person; the total cost will need to be sufficient to provide Ben an all-expense paid trip, which includes transportation, lodging, meal, and match fee. Ben will be squadding with class participants at the match.

The initial registration deadline is Sunday, January 15, 2012. Please register with and direct all inquiries to Ken Yuan at [email protected] or 214-454-5008.

I'd love to train with Ben but its not possible in April. Maybe us North Texas/Oklahoma guys should see if he will teach a class prior to double tap in June?

yeap...put that option out with Ben, but he's not taking the bait. Apparently, Ben prefers not shooting in "heat" and thinks DTC is a bit of a hose-fest.

Fantastic opportunity. Wish I could do this one...

If you check out Ben's website (one of my favorite for practice info and ideas) you'll see that he has a simple but extremely focused method. He also posts most of his major match videos which are very useful.
His footwork is phenominal. Only Grauffel and Sevigny have footwork on par with Ben right now.

I have been following Ben for a while now. His website and videos are very informative. It kinda sucks he feels that way about the DTC. Its one of the best and most competitive matches in the country IMO.

All,

***** Due to scheduling conflict, we have decided to change the date(s) of Ben Stoeger's one-day class. Please see below for more information. *****

All,

Unfortunately, as you may have heard, the Texas State Open has been cancelled. As a result, we won't be able to conduct Ben Stoeger's one-day class in Waco. So here is my last-ditch effort. Below are the options. If you are interested in one, please let me know. I need to gauge interest level before moving forward. Again, we'd need five (5) people to have the class. Thanks.

Option 1: Change the class back to Space City Challenge in Houston (4/20-22)

Option 2: Ben begrudgingly offered the Double Tap Championship as an option (6/8-10) -- he hates shooting in hot summer heat

Option 3: Complete cancellation

I'll sign up tomorrow for the double tap class. I assume it wold be on the Thursday before the match?

Thanks, JT.

As of tonight, three people have expressed an interest for DTC and three for Space City. We need to have five for either to take place. I will give it until the end of February before calling it quit.

Crap I hope it goes well for you guys! Tell Stoget I'm taking the Max Bodybag class instead and I'm gonna use what I learn to teach him a lesson.
