Looking to buy a Beretta U22 Neos, preferably the 6 inch version.

Budsgunshop.com has the 6" model for $240 with free shipping. There are several members, both on here and the other forum, that will handle the FFL transaction for $10 or less. So you are looking at $250 out the door and a wait of about a week. May be your best option.

Thanks for the information, Academy has the 4.5 inch version for $229.99 but not the 6 inch, Bass Pro has the 6 inch for %259.99, looks like I am going with Budsgunshop, any one have any experience with these guys?

I've never seen any place that charges for a background check.
It is literally just a phone call. Should take less than 5 minutes unless you get delayed. If delayed the have to wait for an approval/denial call back withing 3 or 5 days (can't remember which. If no call back denying your purchase, your good to go.

Just go through Buds. They are easy. You place an order online, send them a MO and have them ship to your FFL. If they don't already have the FFL on file, you will have to get that sent to them by fax or e-mail. I have never been delayed on a transfer, though it can happen. Once you get the gun in, get to the range. Since this is a .22, you will want to take a variety of ammo. The last thing you want to do is get there with one type of ammo that it won't cycle reliably.
