i have seen alot of ads that were "controversial", but most of the time i think people are blowing it out of proportion... not this time.. i can't believe multiple people ok'd this ad and they actually ran it... i thought it was fake when i first saw it..

I understand exactly what the ad is intended to say. two people in the same conversation can have two completely different thoughts on how it is going... Much like two people in a car can have two completely different preferences on tempurature...

BUT, it does make me a bit uncomfortable with how they went about it. And that's strange for me, my line of disgust is pretty far out there.

I agree, in that interpretation it's pretty sad & wrong.

I guess I must be naive or something, maybe just not awake enough yet this morning. Looking at the add without reading the article, I viewed it much like one of the popular commercials currently running where the dad is talking to his teen daughter about driving, but in his eyes shes a little girl. I saw this as a teacher that viewed his student as an innocent little child. Apparently, I'm the only one & after reading the article & the posts in this thread I really hope the sleaze angle isn't what they were going for.

Very wrong. But that being said I saw it in passing the other day and thought nothing of it now looking at it again they took it a little to far. but their point was made.

In my opinion, the ad comes acroos as being extremely sleazy. As a father of two daughters, this doesn't pass the smell test. I would not buy a Kia if this is the best they could come up with!

the second i saw the ad i got very uncomfortable.... i mean i can't think of any other conclusion then it is very wrong, i mean the conversation continues back and forth (continuous, not two separate conversations) between a little girl and another "girl" dressed in the same clothes all sexy.... i mean come on..

I'm not trying to justify it, I'm agreeing with you. I just simply stated that I must have interpreted it wrong when viewing it before reading the atricle.

One side of the ad is nice and clean... the other side is hot and dirty.... Kinda like my wife. weird.
