Thanks Mike. I got chills, and something in my eye.
Just yesterday hung a new flag at our home. Old one tattered and worn. Took it down and properly folded it, placed it gently in the packaging of the new replacement. Had Dukes voice been reciting this at that point, not sure I could've gotten the job done.
As my Dad always said, "she may not be perfect but she's way better than anything else". Well said Dad, RIP you old sailor.
