What is your one shooting problem that you have to continually think about before a match? Ex. Remb when to speed up or slow down, grip, dumping the firearm.

I had a problem with not engaging all targets. I pay more attention and do more thorough walk-throughs of stages now. My biggest shooting problem now is my shotgun loading. I have been getting more proficient at quad loads and continue to practice.

This is my biggest problem.... I have timed myself and im always faster if i try to get every hit first time every time.

Yup, and loading my shotgun in there was challenging, too. But let's break it down. First, I went to slide lock, which I rarely do in USPSA. Then on my walk through, there were only 3 poppers set on that knoll, and seeing 4 confused me. Shotgun part was ok, but missed 1 close plate through the hole. Rifle was a disaster, first the mag issue, (a recurring theme during the match), and sucking at the long range stuff. Admittedly, wind was a factor, and I was getting winded.

Stop overfilling the mags (an extremely common mistake).
A PMAG will hold 31 rounds to give it room to load on a closed bolt.
If you put 31 rounds in it, there's no more room for the rounds to compress down into the mag out of the way of the bolt.
Since it can't compress, it doesn't fully seat where the mag catch is in the notch, which is why it falls out.

Remember "Right is Right".
A PMAG will always have the top round on the right when full.
This is of course looking from the primer end (back of the mag).

That being said, if you're using a 40rnd PMAG with a taccom +5 extension (45 rnds), it'll top off on the left (odd number of rounds).

Many people make the same mistake with pistol mags too.
That's why mag tuners advertise the capacities as 21rnds & 20 reloadable etc...

1st stage is usually my worst stage...and more commonly it seems, at least the last 6 or so matches, have all been classifiers.

Actually, I only had 30 in the mags. But it was 20 degrees. I did think maybe next time to load 28, but I also thought the cold may have played a part as well. My mags are fairly new, too. Ultimately, I should have seated it better.

Wasn't as bad as my first 3 gun match, had been doing pistol matchs long enough that on a stage with three rifle reloads I kept grabbing pistol mags, you could follow were I was going on the course by the full pistol mags laying on the ground.
