what did you learn during 2013?

What did you learn about shooting 3 gun during last season that you are doing this year? I learned (after watching video of myself) that I'm not moving as fast as I thought I was, and wasting time. Economy of motion. And dont shoot the long shots at the same speed as the close ones.

Shooting clays hanging from a string in 20 mph wind sucks even at 40 yards. There are a few people that can a test to this if the shot the nebraska shoot.

I see the same thing when I watch myself move on video. Feels livk I'm fast but I'm not quick in and out of positions like JJ Or KC or ant of the top pistol guys. I started doing P90X and Insanity type leg workouts. Lots of lunges and squats with just my body weight will hopefully improve quickness.

Just from first hand experience i can speak on behalf of these guys...

Matt: avoid manually drifting the rear sight after every shot while on the clock

Tony: falling down is bad

Feegee: for everything that is sacred stop f*cking with your guns before a match

Seriously, what I've learned is that I've made good progress, dry fire works, need more dry fire with my rifle to eliminate or at least reduce "scope wobble", no need to load 30 in a pmag, 28 works, a shotgun that runs is fun as hell, and I've made some great friends.

And I almost forgot, never go to Rockcastle without Gold Bond powder.
