Wow. Very nice indeed and rare birds.
Great to see those two!

I have an appreciation for the Pre-Series II Kimbers as well. Don't know if these would qualify as being rare but they are the closest I've got. My others are more standard run guns.

This is a Kimber Heritage Edition Classic Custom. As I recall they made about 1012 of these. I have couple of them and they are great guns.

Growing up in Oregon I was always attracted to Kimber, Gerber Knives ans Danner Boots. I've owned the others but never a Kimber. Those are nice pistols.

Thanks AZ, would love to see some more of yours! Perhaps we should re-name this thread the "Pre-Series II Kimber Thread".

Cool Combat Carry Sooner! The predecessors to the CDP Line are great and as stated were not made in great numbers!

I know that it isn't rare or even regarded as worth owning by many but my pre Series II Custom was my most accurate 1911 until I got my MC Operator.

Both are very good shooters.

My first 1911 was a Kimber. I had a few others that have no issues. I ended up selling them for other guns, but they were fine weapons. I just think they are overpriced now a days. I'm not gonna pay 1750 for a Kimber when I can buy a DW.

Probably not rare but I know they weren't made after 2010. (according to Kimber) I just got this one and it still has what appears to be the factory lube/goo inside. Even the plastic case doesn't have a scratch on it.
