Course Cost is $395.00
This is USSA’s cornerstone defensive handgun course which serves as the foundation for all of our advanced defensive handgun series courses. Because this is a moderately paced course any individuals with little or no experience with a handgun are STRONGLY encouraged to first attend our USSA 251 Introduction to Marksmanship course. Successful completion is required before progressing to USSA Defensive Handgun 211.
This course will take the students current skill and build upon it. Students will be extensively drilled in the critical weapon handling techniques to build the subconscious skills necessary to effectively engage a threat with extreme speed and accuracy. Mental aspects of the course will stress inoculation to violence and the development of a winning and survival attitude. Just a few of the critical elements included in this class:

- Proper grip, stance, sight and trigger management and more.
- High performance weapon manipulations (draws, reloads, malfunctions)
- Threat identification and acquisition
- Proper threat engagement process
- Failure drills (transitioning from one target area to another)
- Strong and support hand shooting positions
- Use of cover
- Post engagement actions and scan process
- Physiological/psychological reactions, inoculation to stress
- Safe and serviceable Semi-Auto or Revolver handgun. (no .22 caliber handguns)
- 4 Magazines (5 if Single Stack), or 8 speed loaders for revolver.
- Belt, Holster, and at least two magazine pouches (3 if single stack)
- 1250 rounds of ammunition minimum (this will ensure student has enough ammo as some students may shoot more than others based on shooting speed)
- Baseball Style hat
- Knee and elbow pads are optional
- Sunscreen and insect repellant
- Eye and ear protection
