First, lets all applaud Samuel Williams. The 71 year old retiree was sitting at an internet cafe when 2 would be robbers entered and proceeded to try and threaten the robbers. Mr Williams waited for the right opportunity and when it presented itself acted with dispatch and determination. He fired two shots, scored two hits, and potentially saved the lives of everyone in the cafe.

I expert the Brady center to sue him shortly for interfering the the work of the two men he injured, and putting them out of business for the foreseeable future.

Fantastic. I personally enjoyed the surveillance footage of them falling over themselves trying to flee. Clearly the criminal that carried the pistol was not prepared to use it. I wonder if it was even loaded. Good job for that concealed carry holder. As for him not killing the criminals, that doesn't upset me. He neutralized the threat and prevented any of the other people in the cafe from being wounded/killed. Mr. Williams scored some hits and saved some lives. Dealing with actually killing someone, even for a legitimate reason, is not as easy as most people think.

I saw the video from the cafe. He fired way more than 2 shots. I saw at least 4 maybe 5 shots. He hit the thug with the pistol in the hip and in the buttock, one shot each. And the thug with the bat got hit in the arm. I would say Mr. Williams did a fine job and should be complimented for it. But he needs a bigger caliber weapon. They should have never left the building.

Maybe hes lucky , since he fired after they were obviously running?

I'm all for large bore pistols, being I'm a .45 ACP guy. But, my wife carries a .380 and I dabble in 9mm occasionally. It's all about shot placement! Yes, in the heat of the moment, you might misplace a central nervous system shot, so you could argue you want the most bang for your buck, but it's a never ending disagreement from all sides.
