I've repaired more than a few. 99% of todays flat screens(lcd, led, plasma) have only two boards inside, the power supply and the I/O interface. The power supply board is the one that goes, and all of the components on the power supply board are usually not marked and proprietary to the manufacturer. Meaning you can't buy just a transformer, cap, resistor and replace it without reverse engineering it and figuring out exactly what you need. There are only a few din/flat connectors and four screws hoding the PS board in, and you can usually find them on ebay and other places. Hope that helps.
