Does anyone know of any group buys from Montana Gold for Tulsa Shooters? If not, anyone interested? Or, if you have tried it before and its not worth the effort, would appreciate your comments as well.

I have just loaded the last of my BBI's, and as I undstand it, they are running way behind, prompting me to consider switching to more MG. Prefer BBI costs, but can't wait 2 months. And while I know cast bullets are very popular, I really don't want to shoot cast regardless of manufacturer. Probably very short sighted on my part, but I dont like the residue or the extra smoke.

I like your idea, but They are just to high. So prob not for me unless you get a smoking deal on them. If you find a place to do a group buy on Berry's or Zero bullets that would be more in my price range and would prob be down for a couple of thousand.

And I totally agree with the cast bullet thing. I got tricked into buying some and have regretted it ever since. The smoke is bad enough, the gross all over the gun is irritating, but the never ending scrubbing lead out of the barrel just totally pisses me off.

I'm not nearly good enough to justify the MG price, as both my reloading and shooting are mediocre at best. Still, have heard mixed reviews concerning accuracy on plated bullets. And it appears the plated bullet price is trying to catch up with jacketed. My BBI .45 loads are very accurate, but I also shoot them out of the best gun I own which has much to do with it. I figured out what "taper" didn't mean on my 9mm loads, so with my next batch, hoping to improve that accuracy.

Picked up some Frontier plated last time I was in Dallas from Southwest Ammo in Mesquite. Going to try loading some this weekend, but only have a few hundred to experiment with. Anybody else have any experience with Frontier?

The MG's are always accurate. If Berry's are as well, would consider a group buy for those, but price has really gone up.

Anyone have other brand suggestions that are reasonably priced and avialable? I'm still trying to learn.

You should see if you can get a group discount here: http://www.precisiondelta.com/index.php

Is this group buy finished? Just curious as I am trying to close some threads so as not to conufes people or waste their time looking through finished group buys.
