I know there is alot of love here for the Troy handguards here. I've got one on my 3 gun rifle, my .22, and I had one on my 300 Blackout upper.

I recently shot my 2 10.5" SBR AR's (.223 & 9mm) and I'd like to reduce some weight. Thinking about swapping both to Troy 9" V-Tac extremes. They are 6-8 oz lighter that what im using now, not counting the rail covers. Anybody running these on 10.5" barreled AR's?

Unless you just like them, I don't think the AFG is necessary. It was plenty comfortable shooting the 12.5 with the 9" tube, even with the giggle switch engaged.

You're probabally right. I doubt I'll need an AFG. I may give it a try since I already have 2.

I decided to go in a totally different direction and picked up a Noveske 12.5" upper with a Switchblock.

I'll still pick up one for my 10.5" 9mm AR though.
