Trigger won't reset

So last night i put my first lower together. Everything went well except when I leave my finger on the trigger and reset the hammer. When I release my finger the trigger wont reset on it's own. I have to do a quick push of the trigger then it will reset. Now if I remove my finger off the trigger then reset the hammer the trigger resets on its own. I took every thing apart and put it back in. I was using the PSA lower with ALG trigger and JP yellow springs.

Any idea what my issue may be?

try it without the safety selector installed.

if still no go, then its probably something with the disconnector of that trigger group.

Make sure the disconnector spring is installed in the trigger correctly.

Make sure the trigger spring is oriented correctly. Google fire control group and check out pictures of how the springs need to be situated. Had one not reset one time after stoning the sear and hammer, figured I took too much off the hammer, so I ordered a new one. When that didn't solve it, I ordered a new trigger. It was only then, after two weeks, that I saw I had put the trigger spring on upside down. But I have extra parts now!!

If you have the parts and springs installed properly; check to make sure there are no rough spots on the trigger, hammer, or disconnector.
My dad had the same problem a couple months ago so he brought it to me and it turned out to be a rough edge on the hook of the hammer that was catching on the disconnector.
I filed the rough spot down and now the stars align.

Remember. The hammer is supposed to catch on the disconnector so DO NOT file anything down to where it won't catch.
The problem I came across was an obvious rough mark from the machining that was stopping the trigger from going forward after being stopped by the disconnector.

Well took everything apart twice yesterday. Different spring and disconnecter. Each time still did it so I put original stuff back in and now it seems to work most of the time. So like you guys said their could be a bir. I'm going shooting tomorrow so I'll shoot it to sight in a new scope and see if that'll fix it. Then I'll go to a little sanding

I would be cautious with a sticking trigger. You wouldn't want it to go full auto on you.

You should post some pics on here of your trigger group or have a smith look into it for you.

It could be a spring or a pin issue that could be fix rather quickly. When people have issues and need advice, pics can be very helpful.

Please take pics with all angles so we can look at it before you start sanding on something.
Or take it to a gunsmith.
Sanding on the wrong part too much could get you a visit from ATF.

Don't forget to clean the parts. I had the same issue and it just needed a good cleaning with brake cleaning solvent to get that sticky crap off they use.

That's guys for the help. I did 2 lowers at the same time. One worked and the other didn't. Spent a few min yesterday and realized the trigger spring was on backwards
