Touch-up Sight Black

Do any of you have suggestions for a good "sight black" to touch up marks while installing new sights. I rubbed off some of the paint on the sights during installation. Something that cleaning solvent will not remove easily.
If the sights are aluminum, you can try the Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black. I ordered some on EBay from Joebob Outfitters and it works great for touchup.

I hate to mar something up too....got to find a way to fix it.

If the sight is iron and has been blued / blackened , you can use one of the cold blue products. I like oxpho blue from Brownells. But run the risk of rust under sight base. If you're careful I suppose there are ways around that. I hate marring up a sight install, tho I've messed up more than I would like to admit. Good luck

What I have done is first heat the area up lightly and then apply bluing from my bluing pencil. Leave it over night then apply oil. That is light enough to get the scuff mark out.
