Top Chef

My wife is into reality stuff on the TV, so tonight, we watched Top Chef. We both like to cook, but this show was special. They were at Whistler Ski resort north of Vancouver BC for a challenge.(recent olympic venue) The cool thing was they had to select their food in a Biathalon disipline. Ski up to the target, get prone, and shoot. They only had 10 bullets, (.22RF), and if they scored a bullseye, they got to use that ingredient in their cooking challenge.

I was kind of in shock that guns were involved in this type of show. Really cool.

I really like Top Chef because there are actually good chefs on it, as opposed to shows like Hell's Kitchen.

Hell's Kitchen chef problem: "OH NOES! The chicken is raw!"
Top Chef chef problem: "OH NOES! The texture of the polenta won't match the texture of the buckwheat!"
