In the Sprinher 1911 thread some suggested building a 1911 and it gets me thinking. I'm a patient man who is very detail oriented and I have a great ability to use hand tools in fact I will always use a hand powdered tool before an electric one. I have always thought of building myself one but always have too many irons in the fire but it seems like something I would really enjoy and appreciate.
What are the bare minimum tools needed to at least get going? What tools make it more fun and what tools make it a first class job?
