You're probably right. People who want to be free from government are considered terrorists by many, ESPECIALLY by the United States government. If the United States lost a state, due to that state seceding, the federal government wouldn't get the taxes from that state's citizens any more. There is no way the federal government would give up a whole state of people to tax.
I feel that the federal government would rather kill those who don't want to be part of the United States than see those people live their lives just fine without a government within the same border.
On the topic of seceding, in recent conversations I was involved in about government, I've concluded that:
I'm considered unpatriotic because I don't support the wars that the government of this "more perfect Union" uses my money on.
I'm considered a racist because I don't believe in government forced civil rights and tolerance, like as the Civil Rights Act Of 1964.
I'm considered a neo-confederate because I believe that a particular parchment, that begins with "We the people", is a big government enabling document.
I'm considered a traitor because, if there has to be a some kind of government, I believe that all states, at the very least, should succeed from the Union known as the United States.
I'm considered a terrorist because I think there should't be a government of any kind.
I'm considered an insane because I want to open people's minds up to the possibility of living in a voluntary society.
I was called all those things during a conversation about my philosophy on life and government. Everyone has to label everyone else, it seems. If my philosophy falls in line with the definitions of those labels, then I guess I'm everyone of those labels, and that's fine with me.
