Just installed a Timney trigger in my Remington Model 700. The trigger installed with no problems, set the pull weight to 2# and went to place it back in the stock when.....I tightened the action screws down to 60 in/lbs and I noticed the trigger is contacting the trigger guard. I decided not to tamper with the trigger and take a file to the trigger guard. I was able to take a good bit off, enough for clearance but now I have a trigger guard I have to paint. Love the trigger, but wasn't expecting to have to do that.
Has anyone else ran into this issue when installing aftermarket triggers? How did you rectify the issue?
