The official "Thanks Hank" tribute thread

Starting this thread to have a place to show my thanks to Hank. Though we've never met, I feel a real connection and a deep debt of gratitude toward ole Hankster. Here is my hopefully soon to be redeemed refinish certificate.

I have reached out to the issuer of the certificate to see if there will be any issues regarding its redemption, but I have the highest of confidence it will all work out.

I'm hoping hillbilly .223 responds quickly and can find time to fit me in for a nice finish job. I like wild colors. I'm thinking something in "crybaby yellow" seems Appropriate.

So, after quite a few attempts to contact the issuer of the refinish certificate, he responded and said he wasn't sure he was going to honor it after all the drama. I didn't "win it", so I can't be upset that he won't redeem it. I appreciate the effort to send it to me in the first place, so, thank you for that, but, unfortunately, there will be no Hank tribute pics. Sorry guys.

Yeah, to give the certificate for the contengency then say you won't honor it because it switched hands, no matter the circumstance, seems shady.

He didn't reply for a couple weeks and I sent text asking if he received my messages and got a text back (quite a few days later) saying he didn't know if he wanted to proceed with it. That was almost a month ago since I sent the first email. If he doesn't want to do it, then he doesn't want to do it. Truth is, I don't want to send $3k worth of rifle away to a guy that won't respond until I bug the piss out of him and then says he kinda don't wanna screw with it. I'm out nothing, as I never won it to begin with and all I did was make some off hand comments about putting the "puzzle" back together. I'm glad Mr. Wall took the time and effort to send it to me in the first place. I'm out nothing and no one was harmed. I'm not going worry about it. This was fun and no butt hurt occurred. Thanks guys.

I'd send the pieces to Hillbilly. A couple pieces a day for a week or two.
