Teen killed in robery, family mad he was shot

?My son?s life to them was worth nothing more than a handful of jewelry when their lives weren?t even being threatened."

Talk about re-writing reality. Someone walks into a building with a weapon (pellet or not) and announces a robbery, HOW should people be able to determine the threat is less than what is presented?

...though it isn't surprising the father feels this way, since he has armed robbery on his record too. Wonder what he'll say if he gets shot attempting robbery?

My answer to the angry family;

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes... now stop re-producing.

Amazing how many people these days do not accept any responsibility for their actions - it is always someone else's fault. Their son was not an innocent bystander, he took a big risk and he lost.

Simple answer, if he had not tried to rob the store he would be alive today.
I blame his parents and him.

Bet you that dear old dad decides to seek retribution against the store, especially the defender, if he finds out who got his son. Then perhaps he will either go to jail for good or have an early reunion with his son.

Real weapons or not, armed robbery is armed robbery- even fakes get the full charge. The intent to commit armed robbery is still there no matter what. If criminals and their families don't like it, then maybe they should look at the other side of the coin. If you're asking for trouble, you will get it in spades.

This. Pretty typical for today, sadly.
