Well I am about to finish up my lower, and the only thing I need one for is the castle nut. Is there anything I can use in place of an armorers wrench that I might already have in the home? Don't really feel like spending 20 bucks on one.

You can buy the spanner pretty cheap. I think I gave five bucks for mine at a gun show.

Haha, thanks guys, I might take you up on that scubor, I live in valencia, can meat you anywhere in edmond probably, Heartland might be a good place. I would only need it long enough to tighten it down, I've got to get grease today for it, but let me know if there is a good time and place for you this week or next?

and a punch and a couple taps from a hammer on the end plate will stake it in.

slotted screwdriver and hammer?
I suppose I could just put a cotter key through it too lol.

Also try harbor freight or an auto parts store that has the $5 tool bin. You will end up using it again on you next project. AR-15's are the "track marks" of the modern gun addict.
