Don't own a 9mm with a barrel length greater than 3.5" and have been looking for a 5" 9mm for future plunge into the "3-gun pool". Have narrowed my choices down to 4 different weapons, 2 stryker, 2 traditional? Need some pros/cons from experienced operators.

(glock 34, M&P Pro or Beretta 92, baby eagle II)

yes, yes, no, no.

There are plenty of aftermarket parts & upgrades for the Glock & M&P, not so for the other 2

G 34 or M&P
Go to make ready proshop if he don't sell magazines & pistol accessories for it then you might be going down a longer more costly path. As a rule of thumb if cheaper than dust sales Something but wall don't carry the item, maybe it isn't the best gear choice for the competitions we do
Just my opinion

Glock 34 would be my first choice of those listed m&p second choice of those listed and yes I own both. The other two wouldn't even be a option for me for a competition pistol. Pros anywhere you go in the world to shoot someone will have glock parts and holsters etc M&P a close second. Striker fire trigger isn't the best but it's consistent. So out of those stated my only choice would be glock.

Great gun from what I hear, and there are accessories out there for it.
CBR runs one I think. Maybe he'll chime in with his experiences with it.

Went to H&H today and shot the XDm 5.25 and Glock 34. Liked the XDm a lot more than the Glock. They didn't have the M&P pro though and I really want to shoot it before I buy. Anyone here have one that they would let me try out one of these days?

Since I helped derail the thread I'll add this.

The baby eagle/Jericho 941 shares a good portion of its parts with the Tanfo guns. I've read reports that say they are accurate and reliable and you can get big ol mags. There are most assuredly worse choices to make. Just so you know DA/SA guns have won production nationals for quite a while now, once you work with them a bit they can be shot very very well. A CZ 75 is another good example if you want a DA/SA gun.

There really isn't a huge difference between all the polymer wonder nines. If I were to use one it would be a Glock 34. Plentiful parts, accurate, reliable, always on safe for dump buckets, easy to get holsters etc. I shot an XD in production for a year or so. I dumped it because of Springfield's unwillingness to sell a few spare parts.

You're welcome to try mine out. I'll try to let you know which match I'll be at next.

I'm in the XDm camp, and shoot the 4.5" in .40. I like the feel of it, but it's not perfect. The Glock and MP I haven't shot, but handled, so I cannot speak for them. Other than I like the feel of the MP better, and maybe even better than my XDm. If you get the XDm, you will want a better trigger, and an extended mag release. But that may also go for the others, I don't know. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I love my XDm 5.25 to me it has the most natural point of aim. It is very very accurate. I put in a PRP Ultimate match trigger its around 3.5# and very short reset. Completely reliable, fast as hell, balances like no other polymer, and Bianchi Cup Accurate. Rob Letham helped design it. They are a little pricy but it comes w/ 3 19rd mags.

With the Baby Eagle YOU TOO can be as cool as this guy!
