STI Spartan IV 9mm

Hey guys..

I know next to nothing about STI.. Don't know anyone that owns one, much less shot one... I'm eyeballing the Spartan IV 9mm... Anyone able to give me the good, bad, and ugly on this species?

I have a spartan .45 that I used to win the State Single Stack title with. You're welcome to shoot it anytime.

Just remember to use quality mags like Tripp Research Cobra mags.

I believe the Spartan uses a conventional feed ramp and not the ramped barrel of more expensive STI pistols.

Jessie, that's a very kind offer! I might take you up on it sometime! @ Ben-Ben- basically a fun gun... Something easier on the pocket to shoot. Also, (this is my justification to buy one!), My regular carry gun is a Kimber Pro .45, so it would be close in comparison (At least that's my reasoning). Also, I'm wanting to venture into some IDPA shooting. Would this be a good gun for that? @ Wall, Thanks for the link! @ Robusto, I've read this in what little research I have done thus far. Seems some folks are having trouble getting flat nose ammo to feed properly.

He's probably not going to be shooting 9mm Major so I don't think that will be an issue.
