Stag model 3 optic ready rifle

Anyone ever handle a stag model 3 or have info on it. Local shop have them for $775, my friend wants one but asked me to search it for him. I have read about the rifle, reviews seem to be good but I would like a true opinion from someone who has one or handled one. Is it something you would recommend or is there a better rifle for around the same price. Thanks

I think the new S&W MP15 sport has a lot to offer in a base ar 15 package for a very good price. Not terribly familiar with the stag model 3.

I think that price is really good. I have not fondled one yet, but the reviews I'm reading on the web are favorable.

I have shot the hell out of a model 3G. It's drastically different than a Model 3. I had a brand new Model 3 recently. I didn't shoot it but it was a nice upper.

The Reasons to go with Stag are a lifetime warranty. Great customer service, they build well over 90% of the parts in the gun which is rare. They are THE largest commercial manufacturer of AR15 rifles. Oh and they sponsor the heck out of 3 gun.

I've had several Stag's and currently am running a modified 3G getting ready for the Combat Rifle Championship in September. Great guns.
